Keep Space for Peace

Although space is used for military purposes, there are no weapons in space. Deploying space weapons would have seriously destabilising effects on international relations and disarmament efforts. It is for this reason that a number of countries openly oppose space weapons including Russia, Canada, China and some European states. However, some states, in particular the US, see space weapons as the future of dominance, control and successful war-fighting and are researching and developing space weapons.
